Consumer wellbeing is at an inflection point, challenging brands to transform or risk being left behind.
On one hand, consumers are more empowered and engaged in their health than ever, but on the other hand they are navigating that responsibility in a context of strained trust, rising costs and fragmented support. The central question going forward is not whether consumers will continue to take control of their wellbeing—they already have—but whether the systems around them will evolve fast enough to earn a role in that journey or be worked around entirely.
Over the coming months, the MONITOR team will be embarking on a deep dive into how consumer wellbeing is evolving as people take an increasingly active role in managing their own health. Our work will explore not only what consumers are doing, but why they are doing it—and what it will take for brands to show up as credible, constructive partners in consumers’ wellbeing journeys.
